Can someone please inform the world of Spotify the following.
No. I do not want to link my facebook to my account with you.
Because I do not want to spend £9.99 each month to play whatever I like for it then to be splattered all over my wall – and everyone else’s for that matter.
But alas you have given me no choice in the matter. I HAVE to link it up?! And it’s going to announce every song I play on my facebook wall – really?!
I’m protective of my iPod for fear of judgement of my music – its a personal thing and I shouldn’t have to answer to anyone about what I listen to.
What music I play is my business. I feel violated to think every song I want to hear will be public knowledge.
If I wanted to do that I’d just sit in the back row of the bus and play my iphone aloud for all to hear.
What if I’m in the middle of my (very, rare I assure you) crazy Girls Aloud moments?
Not to mention my (rather more frequent) bursts of nostalgia – a bit of Slipknot, Limp Bizkit perhaps
or – of course – Sum 41…
Or say I’m having a meloncoly moment of private self reflection as the rain drips down the train window and want to listen to something like “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay” and wallow?
Do I want that shared with the world via social networking?
Music is private and should stay private. If I want to share I’ll slam a youtube video up.
